Adrian Javon and Lou Raw creates reasons of being infatuated with urban love

“essence of young love that has loyalty, however, can be lead astray in the mist”

Adrian Javon and Lou Raw, better known as Adrian Javon Martin and  Louis Watson have come together to deliver a special soundtrack titled, Lost. When you first see the name, you think it’s dealing be a typical drama or love story with a significant other but it goes deeper than that. The lyrics and the melodies of Lost tell the story of the love of “the streets”. The community, the city, the people that’s in the neighborhood, the loyalty and of course; the emotional love of two people’s journey.

[ LOST ]

The track to me signifies two different balances of one. You can call it Ying-Yang if needed. Adrian brings the emotional vibes and Lou brings the physical energy to top the track off. Lost’s sound has the essence of young love that has loyalty, however, can be lead astray in the mist. Adrian Javon sings about the journey of his grind where he’s been around all this love but has yet to solidify his. He’s young but mature in the musical mind as he wants to experience love; showcasing his loyalty to women yet they all so far have led him on a twisted path.

Lou Raw, on the other hand, has the desire and intensity about his love. I can feel the physical attributes through this lyrics to feel the void of pain inside of him. He’s learned to deal with this pain musically and using the style of poetry to relay it. If you listen closely, you can tell there’s a story about a woman he knew, where he expressed his love and it wasn’t easy to do, however, things didn’t go as planned. And I’m sure we all can understand that feeling of hurt. It further drives us to really focus on what we want and need.

There’s a reason the song works because of Adrian is bringing the mental presence and Lou is bringing the physical. It’s the perfect balance of love and I think the song will resonate with the younger generation. It has great quality and those who love trap soul and rap should enjoy this. But hey, don’t take my word for it. Check it out!

Jamar Carr creates musical frustrations of the unheard voices

“a hurtful pain that challenges the corrupted foundation”

Jamar Carr is spreading the uncharted emotions of what’s it is like to be black in America. The music resonates to the soul as it speaks on injustice, poverty, corruption and all of the underlying schemes in the mainframe. He’s from Queens, New York, one of the many places where history shows its face in pain. He also released an EP this year titled “Hidden Jewels: The New York Diaries“.

[ Politically Incorrect: Wealth In The Ghetto ]

The album Politically Incorrect speaks volumes of all of the things that have happened in the past and present. From the sickening segregation days to acts of mental warfare of 2018, times haven’t changed for African Americans; just different faces, same schemes. The music to me feel like a hurtful collection of pain that challenges the corrupted foundation; yet not with sadness, but with anger. I can tell he’s intelligent and he’s using the ways of music to spread the message across.

The Oak feedback to Jamar: Keep spreading the message for the ones without a voice. The community definitely needs to hear it more. Last but not least, please keep making music. Do not give up.

Jamar Carr

Jamar Carr

is back with some poetic justice for our ears. With the emotional driven instrumental, his flow taps on it with the story of his pasts. Everything that was going against him, he overcame it. He sends shots at all of the fake people, fake friends and the fake industry that’s going on right now. He has his story to get out, you can hear it in his voice.

Irini Mando

Irini Mando

voice is popping with uptempo joy about celebrating with her circle. It’s a feel-good feeling about partying whenever and wherever. If it’s ever been a time to really let loose and be yourself, this is the type of adventure Irini goes on. She doesn’t want to waste any time being stagnate, she wants to get out and explore the brave new world.

WAVSDNTDIE

WAVSDNTDIE

brings that love and intimacy with reminisces of Neyo and 6lack trap neo-soul. The vibe gives you that feel of urban love and the melodies and mood is a fresh breath of Neyo grooves. It’s the perfect song to play when you know you fugged up with your significant other and trying to apologize to them. So if you did, just play this song for them 😉

BOGART

BOGART

is ready to put something on it. And by that, he means the rap game. He oozes of an XXX and SkiMask Slumpgod. Which would make sense since he lives in Florida. He has his own vibe that differentiates him from the typical Florida rapper. He is still fresh, but if he keeps working on his grind and style; I believe he will flourish as an artist.

ChampionsLeak x Radiiio

ChampionsLeak x Radiiio

came together with an emotional splash of house dance music. I can hear this track on a house party theme movie or a long road trip vacation with party favors. The vocals feel smooth with the instrumental and if give you a sappy but joyful feel of someone. It’s interesting indeed so be sure to check it out.

Eso.Xo.Supreme, Sinnie Kravitz, TyC and Curly Chuck (VOTW)

The videos of the week spotlight go to 4 artists: Sinnie Kravitz, Eso.Xo.Supreme, TyC and Curly Chuck.  All of these artists have dope videos and when you listen to the music, you can understand how all of them have the same desire and feeling to get to the top.

The first video we have is of Sinnie Kravtiz’s soundtrack, Juice. Immediately, you catch a glimpse of the beautiful scenery where Sinnie is showing us that will be his view one day. Starting from the bottom, the slums, to now gaining buzz and networking with others outside of his inner circle community. He definitely has the juice as he stacking money up for bigger and more impacting things.

Next, we have Eso.Xo.Supreme and his soundtrack called Lines. The video gives that post-futuristic vibe as you’re viewing Eso through a virtual tour of his world. The melodies catching your attention while he explains the story of what’s trying to leave his life. He is saying, why would you leave, when I did all of this for you. We both have our own path, and this line I’m using, I’m pushing so we can share it together.

And lastly, we have Tyc feat. Curly Chuck on the soundtrack, Get Down. The video showcases Curly Chuck’s unique rap style and with TyC interesting EDM / Hip-hop style beat meshes well with the track. The video has moments of humor, witty punchlines, and creative editing to tell you the story of how they get down in their world.

music has the pulse of a mysterious vocal that tells a story in the sound of a guilty conscious. It has waves of emotions that’s fighting to appear happy but really is crying in pain trying to get what he really wants. The vocals are different than regular but you can vibe with it especially after sparking a joint. If you like the new Kid Cudi music as far as the unique adlibs, check him out.

Your Girl Pho

Your Girl Pho

voice is bursting with emotion and feels of jazz, pop, and neo-soul. I can feel most of the music is really mentally stimulated by love. It’s the feelings of trying to understand what love is while trying to grab it at the same time. The yearning that intimacy and trying to understand it without falling over and over again.

Neko Savvy & Icon South

Neko Savvy & Icon South

brings uptempo flow and quick disses to the people who weren’t there on their come up. Talks about the life of a youngin’ who finally got bread and doing literally whatever the fugg they want. I feel their motto is, if you supported us, we will be bounded and I’ll share my success with you. But if you are just now coming around after the buzz, Ciao!

L8LOOMER

L8LOOMER

sings melodies of heartbreak to no void. Even after all that someone has done to him, he still talks to them. He still cares. We all been through heartbreak before and sometimes we leave then or hold grudges. L8L is saying, if though you did me oh so wrong, I still love you. Even if we will never be together.

MKSTN + Inna Powell + Tea Kittagucci and Nevon

MKSTN + Inna Powell + Tea Kittagucci and Nevon

came together for a unique blend of melodies, r&b, and love. It has sex appeal all over the track but creatively done. Smoking on the beach, lovemaking, senses amplified and with the bass of the 808s calming the mood. It’s the perfect blend if you want 5 or 6 children.

Oak’s Selection #1

This selection is a group of talented artists with creative and unique sounds. MÒZÂMBÎQÚEJosh LeBlancRo-Thoro, Jidé, and 77cousins. Selections are a 5 song playlists that gives each artist a chance to be heard and for other artist’s fans to check out each artist’s music collectively.

ARTISTS Selection Playlist

You can read about each artist below the playlist.

MÒZÂMBÎQÚE

MÒZÂMBÎQÚE

is an artist that has a psychedelic vibe with a groovy feel. His music consists of many different moods and storytelling. I believe most of his music tells stories about his personal life and doesn’t care if the outside world understands it. It feels as if he is making music for someone else and is trying to get them to understand the pain he is enduring.

Josh LeBlanc

Josh LeBlanc

music has that early 90s vibe but with a Mac Miller feel and atmosphere. His flow is similar to his and I can definitely feel the inspiration he is forming with his music. He has a message to share with society and he is providing it in a unique way with hip-hop bass and lyrics of motivational feelings.

Ro-Thoro

Ro-Thoro

brings the hustlers ambition of the down south tussle. Each region has a musical flavor to it and he is definitely that vibe. Hard hitting and with subtle wordplay and humor is a very pleasing feel for all of the older hip-hop heads.  If you liked young Boosie, Papoose, you will enjoy the storytelling of Ro-Thoro.

Jidé

Jidé

sings melodies of things he’s been through. He has a very cool way of relaying his pain and guilts of empty pleasure; especially women. He has that strong presence like 6lack and I can feel if he keeps putting out quality songs that people can relate to, he’ll be next. Be sure to listen to his music, you will not be disappointed.

77cousins

77cousins

is a unique duo that has the sounds of Post Malone meets Wiz Khalifa. It has that Country feel to it with a Pop/Hip-hop groove to it. It is a unique blend and they are making it work. I believe they are combing 3 genres that have been done in the past but they are doing it in a way that it’s relevant to his generation. If you like Posty and Wiz, check them out.

Let’s Mars and Xavier (VOTW)

The videos of the week spotlight go to two artists, Xavier and Let’s Mars, of different ends of the spectrum. However, with a way with words, production, and storytelling; they are similar. Their cinematic videos deserved to be placed side by side as a compare and contrast in a creative outlook in a positive way.

The first video we have is of Xavier’s soundtrack, Film. He takes you into his world as if we are the outsiders of the territory to give us a glimpse into what is like to live in his city, his world. With crisp production and the way his vocals sauced over the beat, brings you in and captures you. It gives you the vibe that you can come here or you can not. But whatever happens, we will still be here.

Next, we have Let’s Mars and their soundtrack called Dedication. The video gives you that road trip vibe with the handheld movements and the quick and jittery clips. It works beautifully with the color grading of the video to bring us into their journey through their world. The soundtrack has a melody of joy but also the struggle of hardship to get where they want to be. It cries out to you, but not in a sappy mood but in an elevated sense of calming the storm.

srsly – Out Here (feat. G.L.A.M)

srsly is a 24 old producer from Austria. He recently for together with artist G.L.A.M to make a beautiful spacey cinematic soundtrack called Out Here. The sound is like a mix of Amine and Chris Brown in the way the melodies clash together and the uptempo beat goes well together. The song definitely has talent that both meshed well as both artists worked with numerous people and some who are critically acclaimed. The vocals on the track are pleasing to the ear and the production is high quality. So if you love romantic, spacey and high energy music, def check them out. As I say, you won’t be disappointed.
